Astronomical Center
Concept
The project philosophy was inspired by the logarithmic spiral, which can be found in nature and all its organic forms.
The project was located on a hill in a park with a lake view, so it was designed in a way where everything could have a view of the surroundings, while playing with the form of the terrain.
Floor plans
The first level contains the lobby, temporary exhibitions and a cafeteria.
The second level is dedicated for the educational and administrative section. Here can be found the library, administrative offices of the center and also an investigation section for the AGA (Guatemalan Astronomy Association). There is also a large observatory deck for the stars and lake.
The museum and planetarium are located in the third level.
